WOW!  I can't believe we had 431 lovely entrants in the drawing.  What an amazing turnout.  I was thrilled to have so many visitors and hope that many of you will continue to meander along with us.  And for those of you who so kindly asked, my favorite color is PURPLE!  So without further ado, our winner:

I've had a lot of fun participating in the last two Giveaway Days hosted by Sew Mama Sew last year.  I almost missed this one.  It will be held this coming Monday, May 17th (also my darling niece's 16th birthday!)  If you want to participate, it's not too late.  They're taking sign-ups until tomorrow, Sunday the 16th.  I haven't decided exactly what I'm giving away yet, but I'll make it a good one since I'm still feeling a bit bad about my long absence from the blogging world.

Lovely Fabric Scraps

I won this lovely bag of scraps on the left during the December Giveaway Day sponsored by Sew Mama Sew . The package arrived today from Firefly Skys. (Sorry about stealing the photo from her blog, but I wanted to post about it while I'm at the hospital with Mom today.)

I am really looking forward to tucking into it and seeing what kind of scrappy goodness I can create with it. Mom has already laid claim to a piece of Moda fabric with frogs on it! Giveaway Day is here! SewMamaSew is once again coordinating an international blogging giveaway day. Earlier this year in May, hundreds of bloggers participated in this fabulous event. Readers get a chance to check out great "new to them" blogs and take a chance at winning some fabulous prizes. The bloggers get to have fun hosting a giveaway and are given the chance to be introduced to some new readers/followers.

I can't believe the amount of responses to this drawing. I have had so much fun reading them and hearing stories of others' memorable crafting moments.
