The Winner - Finally

After a week, I finally get the winner posted!  So sorry for the delay ~ but I'm sure you've noticed that I'm scatterbrained as of late.  So on to the winner.

Mr. Random Number Generator decided that #3 would be our lucky winner:

#3 just happens to be Paula who said:  Oh I would love to win a copy!! I'm only on Drums Of Autumn, but I think this series is wonderful. So far Outlander is my fave, but I love em all. Jamie and Claire just touch my heart!
 Congratulations Paula!

And a huge
Thank You
to Diana Gabaldon and TLC Book Tours for the great giveaway.

***If you're not named Paula and weren't the lucky winner this time, it is still VERRRRA (as Jamie would say, rolling his 'r's) easy to get your own copy.  Just click HERE!

For the wondering/wandering minds, I will post a photo of the surprise after Miss Mary receives it.

Winner of the Tao of Mia & Leo Book Giveaway

Who says that being the first comment can't win????

Our lucky winner of The Tao of Mia and Leo is Lynda of Bloom, Bake & Create. Lynda said...

Sounds like a great book. We have three inside cats: Sidd (the alpha male) Shel and Puddin. It looks like we now have an outside cat since she's (we are calling her Callie, even though she won't let us get near her) sleeping in the old cat house and eating the food we put out. I'd love to win this book. Thanks.

Congratulations Lynda!  I know you're going to love this book.  Please send me your mailing address so I can forward it to the publisher.

OWOH loot from Loralai Original Art!

Loralai Original Art is the place to go to check out this print and several others that I have fallen in love with.  I was chosen as the winner in her OWOH drawing and couldn't be more thrilled.  When I saw the print of her with her little black cat, I just knew I had to have it!  It reminded me of myself with my (fat) little Porkchop.  I had it bookmarked to come back after the event.  Imagine my excitement when I received an email from Loryia telling me I won!  Whoo hoo....

Loryia generously framed it for me (I took it out to photograph the print) and then reminded me that I could choose two more prints.  I went to her Etsy Shop and found the following two:

While it's obvious by my choices that I adore her kitty artwork, I am also enamoured by her mermaids and fairies!  There were so many darling pieces.  You be the judge - see even more of her talent on her Flickr feed HERE.

Also, she is currently hosting a fabulous GIVEAWAY of two of her darling little mermaids on really cute totes.  Be sure to go by and get your name in the drawing.  She is quite the artist!

Thank you so much Loryia!  I am a big fan. I love my prints and can't wait to get them up on the wall in my sewing room.

I'm A OWOH Red Panty Crafts Prizewinner

Look at what I won from Tammy at Red Panty Crafts!  Isn't little Ghost Kitty adorable with his little Ghost Mouse?  I was one of the winners in Tammy's One World One Heart giveaway.  She has some more cute things in her Etsy Shop.  I really like that she repurposes items from the thrift store into new, usuable pieces (especially for those of us that don't wear a size 2).  The Red Panty Avenger on her blog is a major kick too.  Go check it out if you get a chance.  Thanks Tammy!!!!

(I actually won FOUR goodies in the OWOH extravaganza this year.  I will share each with you as I get them.  Talk about icing on the cake...)

Patient Style Winner

Random.org has spoken and we have a new winner:

Bec Clarke said...

I have terribly cold and bad circulating feet and these look like they would be wonderful for our cold winter's here in the NSW snowy mountians.

Congratulations Bec!  Send me your mailing address & I will have your new slippers shipped to you right away.  (I'll send you an email shortly as well.)

~~~~~
On another note, congratulations to ME!  I finally figured out the mega simple way to get the little photo of the Random.org result onto my posts.  I can't believe it took me this long.  I wonder what other simple task it will take me another year to figure out?
Thank you for the entries and comments.  We'll have another giveaway coming up in the next week or so.  Be sure to check in for your next chance to win...something.
OWOH Winner(s) Announced
This has been one wild magic carpet ride!  I have had so much fun visiting HUNDREDS of blogs these last few weeks.  While I haven't been able to come see everyone YET, I do plan on continuing down the list so I can meet all of the participants eventually.  Lisa has made up an alphabetical list of all the participants Here to make that easier for those of us who couldn't quite reach all 1,088 blogs in time.  WOW! I am so thrilled to have some new followers of MoonCat Farms as well as finding several bloggers out there that I have added to my growing reading list.  The talent that is out there is just flat amazing.
Blah blah blah, I know you're saying "Be quiet and tell us who won!"  Without further ado, your winner:
Jeanette said...  I love surprises. Please count me in. Love the name of your blog.
Congratulations Jeannette, thank you for visiting from the Land Down Under.  I'll be sending you an email shortly for your mailing address.
Now, as to the other business.  If you recall, my prize was a mystery (some of it to me too...).  I did give you hints on two of the things that were already in the box.  One was something you might wear on the magic carpet ride and the other was something "jangly" with an element of the post title.  If you could guess what they were, you would be entered in a separate prize drawing.
Well, noone got both items.  I do understand that I was a bit vague.  I LOVED so many of the answers. It is very interesting what many of you would be sporting on your magic carpets although I would also request a seatbelt!  But that's not the answer I was after.  The words I was looking for were:  pashmina and keychain.  I found three of you that had one of those words in your answer and I drew one of your names to win the extra prize.  In fact, the winner had the exact description of heart keychain in her guess.
susanscraps said...  I am a new follower to your fantastic blog,love your photography!  I also love surprises,there are so few left in this life.  My guesses: a scarf to keep my hair from blowing around, and a heart bracelet or keychain.  I am new to blogging (blog being built) but not to art. I hope you will include me in this wonderful giveaway!  Best of luck to all your visitors :)  Greetings from the New Jersey Shore,USA
Congratulations Susanscraps!  Good guess on those jangling keys.  I hope you'll keep us all updated as to when you get your blog up, we'd all love to see it.  I'll send you an email shortly as well.
Thank you ALL so much for the awesome comments and for coming by MoonCat Farms.  Hopefully you'll all be sticking around to see what's next around here.  (Be sure to check out our latest giveaway Here)
Winners...You are Winners!
Well, at least two of you are according to my hubby.
I had planned on using the Random.org number generator to pick the winners. Mr. MoonCat decided that since he will be taking on a larger role in this blog, he would choose the lucky recipients of the Carolina Pad prize packages. This is the method he felt was appropriate:
Did I ever mention that he's a drama queen? After much ado, he pulled our two lucky ladies from the very, very large hat:
Congratulations mrsb and haveahoss. I'm sending both of you emails to get your shipping addresses for Carolina Pad.
I'd like to thank Carolina Pad for supplying me with the product for review and for sponsoring the giveaway for our two lucky readers. Be sure to go by their site as they have extended the date for the 20% off coupon BACK2SCHOOL until 1/31/10. They're also offering FREE SHIPPING on orders over $40. Go HERE to take advantage of this generous offer.
Lovely Fabric Scraps
(Photo from the Firefly Skys blog)
I won this lovely bag of scraps on the left during the December Giveaway Day sponsored by Sew Mama Sew . The package arrived today from Firefly Skys. (Sorry about stealing the photo from her blog, but I wanted to post about it while I'm at the hospital with Mom today.)
I am really looking forward to tucking into it and seeing what kind of scrappy goodness I can create with it. Mom has already laid claim to a piece of Moda fabric with frogs on it! When she's feeling up to it, I think we'll have some great projects to share with you. Be sure to go and check out the great tutorials and crafts at Firefly Skys. Thanks for the fun!
Loot, Bounty, Treasure, Goodies, Prizes PART 2
Part 2 of my greedy, giveaway gluttony continues. But first, I'd like to apologize to all of the lovely gift-givers for the delay in posting about their wonderful prizes. I have been very lax in showing my appreciation for what they've given me. Thank you ladies, so very much! Now on to some lovelies....
Octoberfarm sent this neat, jaw-dropping package when I won her great giveaway just before Halloween. The presentation was so gorgeous that I almost didn't want to open it. (I knew what lovely, direct from Salem treats were awaiting me though, so I didn't resist!)
This little owl is so adorable! I was so tickled to find him nestled in the packaging. (side note: I have always had a real affinity with owls - I've had a collection of them for years. We currently have a pair of Great Horned Owls that live on the property. Yay!) Back to the goody: I managed to get the photos above, but I didn't get a chance to have my photo snapped in the lovely outfit yet (been a little swamped around here lately, will get to it soon though, I promise!) For now, you can see the lovely ensemble and more on the giveaway here , along with a cute picture of her daughter in the outfit. Her blog has the most amazing photography. A real treat, not to be missed!
~~~~~
Fe at Rad Linc Crafts chose my name as one of her winners for these lovely treats below. Pretty funny since she is almost a neighbor up Highway 99 north of us! It's amazing how large and small our world can be at the same time.

The giftcard holder will be put to very good use in a little over a month or so (already?). I really like how she did the cute little fabric gift tags. What a great way to personalize and spiffy up packages or treats this holiday season. I'm keeping the pretty bookmark for myself, in fact it's already been put to use in my current book. Fe has a great new tutorial for clothespin gift tags which can be found on her blog here . She makes crafting a little easier for us all.
~~~~~
These beautiful glass beads were sent to me from Cathi of Bead Brains just for being one of the lucky commenters on her post. Unfortunately, my photo doesn't do justice to her lovely original beads. They are so pretty. She has some amazing creations on her site. I'm looking forward to incorporating them into one of my upcoming projects. She just recently announced the opening of a new Etsy shop for supplies and de-stashing here. Check out both stores!
~~~~~

My new friend Nydia made this darling little skull mobile which I won in one of Mrs B's daily drawings for the month of October. She sent me the pretty mobile plus the sweet little cat (I think she got a hint that I have a love of kitties!). Such a neat prize to receive, all the way from Brazil. Nydia has an awesome Etsy shop called Carioca Witch where you can find more of her great OOAK (one of a kind) pieces, crafted of felt and other materials. Be sure to go by and show her some love!
~~~~~
This darling little zippy pouch and coin purse arrived accompanied by this cute little Tasmanian Devil postcard. While he looks nothing like my Looney Toon friend, he does have his own charms! These goodies came from Cindy at 2Paw . I don't know how I have survived this long without a coin purse. Gramma always had one and now so do I! (Both pouches are so cute, they make my purse look pretty shoddy!)
Cindy has some great tutorials as well as gorgeous photos and posts about her beautiful canine companions: Peri Naughty (the little sweetie who chose my name as the winner), Lorelai Gilmore, and Harki-Parki-Parker-Posey. Check out the latest post here. They are real cuties!
I almost hate to admit it, but I've won a couple of more wonderful prizes that haven't arrived just yet. So I guess I will be posting an unofficial Part 3 in the next week or so. (Did I mention that I have this thing about entering drawings, especially for handmade lovelies?)
Loot, Bounty, Treasure, Goodies, Prizes PART 1
This 2 part post is all about the giveaway goodness that I have been so very lucky to have won recently. I love to enter drawings (um, duh - obviously). Besides the thrill of winning, it is a blast to discover new blogs to explore. I have found some great places on the web all due to giveaways or blog hops. Please check out the sites of these generous bloggers below and see some of their great work.
Morgaine du Mer is the artist behind this awesome print:
Halloween Party Dress
that I won during the Ghoul's Guild "Trick or Treat" event. Isn't she gorgeous? Check out some of Morgaine's other pretties that I am adoring like Black Cat Halloween Original ACEO below. It reminds me of my Porkchop here at home!
~~~~~

After winning these great earrings from Mad Science Creations, I checked out the great things up for grabs on her site, including this luscious corset. Lots of crafty goodness to be found. ~~~~~
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness (which we all know is an issue I'm passionate about), SewCalGal held a giveaway for this gorgeous fabric. My lucky number was drawn for this: It is a beautiful cotton print that Mom and I will be making a quilt from. She really likes pink so I think it will be perfect for her room. The fact that we can make it together will make it all the more special. SewCalGal has another great site here where she lists lots of giveaways and contests among other things. In fact, I just read her post on what is now going to be one of Mom's Christmas gifts . Go visit her sites and say Hi for me!

Part 2 of this giveaway goodness post will continue tomorrow....

We Have a Winner or Two!

I have really enjoyed all of the blogging this month. I DID IT! I blogged for 31 days straight (that was almost more than my entire blogging career total) Whoo hoooo...

First of all, I would really like to thank everyone for coming by the blog. I really appreciate you taking the time to check in and leave comments on my ramblings. I try to answer when I get a chance, but am not always able to reply in a timely manner. I do read each and every one and want you to know that it means so much that you hear me and have a response to something I've thrown out into the universe.

Blogtoberfest was a lot of fun, many thanks to Tinniegirl and Curlypops for all of the hard work they did to get this organized. The best part for me (besides being a ziggy piggy with prizes) was getting to meet so many great people online. I am thrilled to welcome several new followers to the blog whom I hope will stick around and see what we're up to next (giveaway alert, giveaway alert). I have also discovered many bloggers who share some of the same wide range of interests and opinions that I do. It's fun finding kindred spirits hundreds if not thousands of miles away. It's a big old small world folks.

I decided to pick two winners because 1) I have been so darn lucky on all of these giveaways this month and 2) because it's my blog and I feel like it! Drumroll please.......

Our two winners are: Leathra and Mother Moon's Message

Congratulations ladies! Please send me your mailing addresses and I will get your goodies out to you this week.

Thank you all for participating and keep it dialed in here for a new giveaway announcement in the very near future!

29 Posts in a Row!! - Blogtoberfest

Can you believe it? I am almost there! A whole month of blogging, EVERY single day...

If you've been with me very long, you'll know that I've been a rather sporadic/spastic/not very regular blogger. Even though I've had a bajillion things on my plate this month, I am so glad I decided to participate in this event known as Blogtoberfest. It has really made me do some thinking and planning for my blog and what I'd like to do with it.

The big bonus for me has been meeting so many new people from all over the world. Some very lovely people have discovered my little old blog and I have discovered several "new t0 me" blogs that I am really, really enjoying. I have also been entering drawings left & right (usually in the wee hours of the morning when the house is quiet).

Because of all of this late night wandering, I've won a couple of drawings - Woo Hoo! Some really cool prizes are coming my way. I will post about them in the next week or so when I can get photos of all my lovely prizes. (Yes, I've been a real piggy with the goodies. But, I will be sharing the blog love and luck with another drawing or two of my own here very soon! Stay tuned...)

(Photo from myevaforeva)

I won these little beauties from myevaforeva . Aren't they cute? She offers a great tutorial on how to make these lovelies as well as many other great projects. Check it out!

In the meantime, it's not too late to participate and maybe win yourself some prizes while discovering some great blogs. You can find a list of drawings being held in conjunction with Blogtoberfest at Curlypops (as well as a lot of fun on her site).
