Letters, I'm Writing Letters..

Jen at Indie Fixx has started this awesome project to bring back the joy of letter writing.  The Penpal Project was created so that those of us who miss the anticipation and excitement of receiving a hand-written note, card, or 12-page letter in the good old post can start looking forward to the mailman again.  While we all rely on our e-mail, snailmail has been getting a bum rap and needs to feel some love.

If you're interested in finding a like-minded soul or two who enjoy the fine, almost lost art of the written word (on paper), go to Jen's post HERE to learn more about the project and possibly sign up yourself. It's easy, all you need to do is leave a comment and tell a little about yourself.  Then you can check out the other comments to see if anyone "speaks" to you.  I did and I can't wait to put the pen to paper with a new friend or two or three...

  1. I love sending snail mail! And receiving it. That's why I've loved using your cards so much - they make such a nice frame for a note to a friend.

What a neat idea - I haven't had a pen pal since I was little.

  2. that is so cool! thanks for the post, i just headed over and signed up. :)

  3. HOORAY!! Nobody is aware or if they are they do not care, but there have been thousands of Postal worker laid off, and some distribution centers have been closed (hubby is a PO worker) the internet is slowly putting the USPS out of business. To help offset the loss, they are seriously, SERIOUSLY considering going to 5 day delivery.

Mail art is helping...letter writing will also :)

share this info with your friends, as it is not a joke, and is slowly becoming a reality.

I am going to check out her link.

  4. I'm so glad that everyone is excited about this project. There are already over 80 people signed up now with more on the way.

Old-fashioned letter writing is here to stay!

  5. I love this idea. I think I'll go sign up too! I haven't had a pen pal since I was a kid. Yay!
