I have terribly cold and bad circulating feet and these look like they would be wonderful for our cold winter's here in the NSW snowy mountians.

Congratulations Bec!  Send me your mailing address & I will have your new slippers shipped to you right away.  (I'll send you an email shortly as well.)

On another note, congratulations to ME!  I finally figured out the mega simple way to get the little photo of the Random.org result onto my posts.  I can't believe it took me this long.  I wonder what other simple task it will take me another year to figure out?

OWOH Winner(s) Announced

This has been one wild magic carpet ride!  I have had so much fun visiting HUNDREDS of blogs these last few weeks.  While I haven't been able to come see everyone YET, I do plan on continuing down the list so I can meet all of the participants eventually.  Lisa has made up an alphabetical list of all the participants Here to make that easier for those of us who couldn't quite reach all 1,088 blogs in time.  WOW! I am so thrilled to have some new followers of MoonCat Farms as well as finding several bloggers out there that I have added to my growing reading list.  The talent that is out there is just flat amazing.

Blah blah blah, I know you're saying "Be quiet and tell us who won!"  Without further ado, your winner:

Jeanette said...  I love surprises. Please count me in. Love the name of your blog.

Congratulations Jeannette, thank you for visiting from the Land Down Under.  I'll be sending you an email shortly for your mailing address.

Now, as to the other business.  If you recall, my prize was a mystery (some of it to me too...).  I did give you hints on two of the things that were already in the box.  One was something you might wear on the magic carpet ride and the other was something "jangly" with an element of the post title.  If you could guess what they were, you would be entered in a separate prize drawing.

Well, noone got both items.  I do understand that I was a bit vague.  I LOVED so many of the answers. It is very interesting what many of you would be sporting on your magic carpets although I would also request a seatbelt!  But that's not the answer I was after.  The words I was looking for were:  pashmina and keychain.  I found three of you that had one of those words in your answer and I drew one of your names to win the extra prize.  In fact, the winner had the exact description of heart keychain in her guess.

susanscraps said...  I am a new follower to your fantastic blog, love your photography!  I also love surprises, there are so few left in this life.  My guesses: a scarf to keep my hair from blowing around, and a heart bracelet or keychain.  I am new to blogging (blog being built) but not to art. I hope you will include me in this wonderful giveaway!  Best of luck to all your visitors :)  Greetings from the New Jersey Shore,USA

Congratulations Susanscraps!  Good guess on those jangling keys.  I hope you'll keep us all updated as to when you get your blog up, we'd all love to see it.  I'll send you an email shortly as well.

Thank you ALL so much for the awesome comments and for coming by MoonCat Farms.  Hopefully you'll all be sticking around to see what's next around here.  (Be sure to check out our latest giveaway Here)

OWOH Update and Thank You

I am so amazed by the amount of comments coming in from the One World One Heart event.  We are almost to 300 comments.  I'm thinking I'll have to add a little extra goody or two to the drawings...   I hope everyone knows that I DO read each and every comment that comes in.  I just haven't been able to respond to them all.  That is one of my intentions for the New Year - respond to every comment.  BUT, with the sheer volume in the OWOH drawing, I really can't accomplish that.  So I am issuing a blanket THANK YOU for the moment to everyone coming by and I hope you'll all continue to visit MoonCat Farms.  We have a lot of new stuff planned for 2010.

Winners...You are Winners!

Well, at least two of you are according to my hubby.

I had planned on using the Random.org number generator to pick the winners. Mr. MoonCat decided that since he will be taking on a larger role in this blog, he would choose the lucky recipients of the Carolina Pad prize packages. This is the method he felt was appropriate:

Did I ever mention that he's a drama queen? After much ado, he pulled our two lucky ladies from the very, very large hat:

29 Posts in a Row!! - Blogtoberfest

Can you believe it? I am almost there! A whole month of blogging, EVERY single day...

If you've been with me very long, you'll know that I've been a rather sporadic/spastic/not very regular blogger. Even though I've had a bajillion things on my plate this month, I am so glad I decided to participate in this event known as Blogtoberfest. It has really made me do some thinking and planning for my blog and what I'd like to do with it.

The big bonus for me has been meeting so many new people from all over the world. Some very lovely people have discovered my little old blog and I have discovered several "new t0 me" blogs that I am really, really enjoying. I have also been entering drawings left & right (usually in the wee hours of the morning when the house is quiet).

Because of all of this late night wandering, I've won a couple of drawings - Woo Hoo! Some really cool prizes are coming my way. I will post about them in the next week or so when I can get photos of all my lovely prizes. (Yes, I've been a real piggy with the goodies. But, I will be sharing the blog love and luck with another drawing or two of my own here very soon! Stay tuned...)

(Photo from myevaforeva)

I won these little beauties from myevaforeva . Aren't they cute? She offers a great tutorial on how to make these lovelies as well as many other great projects. Check it out!

In the meantime, it's not too late to participate and maybe win yourself some prizes while discovering some great blogs. You can find a list of drawings being held in conjunction with Blogtoberfest at Curlypops (as well as a lot of fun on her site).

Monday Madness - Giveaway Alert!

As if I don't already have a full plate, I've decided to host another giveaway! I am holding it in conjunction with the fun that is Blogtoberfest.

Pretty simple stuff (for the most part). Since I am also participating in a Homegrown Swap with some of my i-friends in the Herbal world, I think that is what the prize will be. We haven't completed the swap yet, so you will just have to wait with bated breath to see what you win! I will tell you that the majority of the ingredients/supplies are "homegrown" and that herbs may or may not be involved. I have some other "homemade" goodies that will probably get dropped accidentally into the box as well. I do like surprise giveaways... Clear as mud? It's a mystery to me too.

Now for the particulars, there are 4 ways to get entries in the drawing:

1: Leave a comment and tell me : what your favorite flower is and what part of the world you hail from (I will ship internationally - so ALL are welcome!).

2: Follow my blog.

Bonus: If you are already a follower of my blog before today (Oct 5th), you will receive an extra entry (on top of the one above) in the drawing! Just because I appreciate you sticking with me.

3: Subscribe to my newsletter.

4: Blog about my drawing, I will give you another 2 entries. Just be sure to leave another comment with the link to the post.

That's pretty much all there is to it. I will draw the winner on one of my favorite days, October 31st. You never know, I may just have to have more than one prize! I'm having too much fun..Be sure I have a way to contact you if you aren't a blogger. I hate it when someone wins and there is no way to tell them how lucky they are! I will ship internationally so ALL ARE WELCOME!!

May Giveaway Day - May 27, 2009

May Giveaway Day
May 27, 2009

Ok, I admit it. I am going to turn into a blogging giveaway junkie. This is just a whole lot of fun for me. It's great to have readers come by and leave their comments and I love checking out all of the participating blogs out there. It is amazing how many super talented people are out in cyberspace just waiting for us to come across their blog and share a bit of their world. The fact that there are prizes to be won floating around in all of this is just icing on the cake!

This fun event is being hosted by SewMamaSew. They will be posting a list today with the links to all of the bloggers participating in this great Giveaway. Click here:May Giveaway Day to go to their page and start surfing some awesome and creative blogs.

Entering my drawing is extremely easy. Just leave a comment on this blog entry telling me a memorable crafting/sewing/creative moment or event in your life. I'm using my tried & true old cowgirl hat to draw the number randomly, what you write won't count for the drawing - it's solely for me because I like to hear other people's stories and inspirations. Please be sure that there is a way for me to contact you if you are a winner. The drawing closes at midnight on May 31st. I will draw my winner the next day and post it here. Good luck and happy blog surfing!

I guess I should tell you what I'm giving away. It will be a surprise package full of crafting/sewing supplies & goodies. I haven't really finished throwing together the box so it a surprise to me what will be in it as well! I have quite the stash that would love a new home with someone who is feeling creative..

BTW, if you want an extra entry into my drawing...become a follower or sign up for my email feeds. Then post another comment on this blog and I will give you another chance to win this unknown surprise box!

Tea, I must have Tea....

Planting and life in the garden has been keeping myself and the hubby really busy these last few weeks. Spring has sprung around here & we're outside until dark or after just about every night. I am almost ready to launch our etsy store and start offering several of our herb-based products on our website. It is amazing the amount of time involved trying to get a website up and running that is actually easy to use and get around. Details, details....

Most evenings I enjoy a cup of tea to help unwind & decide on the next day's TO-DO list. I LOVE tea and I really like to experiment and try different blends. I was so surprised and thrilled to have my name drawn as a winner of a Tea Sampler from Sarah at Herbs from the Labyrinth. My prize included 15 of her different hand-blended teas that have such awesome names as Moontime Tea, Lover's Tea, Spring in My Step, FemininiTea, Dandy Lion Tea, Hush-A-Bye, Strong As Nails, SereniTea, SmarTea, DigestiviTea, Nursing Mother Tea, Endo-Liver Tea, Love Your Liver Tea, and Mid-Summer Tea. I'm finding that so far my favorite is the Lover's Tea - YUM.. (photo below is from her website)

If you haven't heard about this fun & very knowledgeable group of herbal enthusiasts/entrepreneurs, you must check out their weekly contest that is running through May. Each week, each of the 10 blogs holds a drawing for a wonderful item made by one of the other participants. I believe this week's prize is being offered by Aquarian Bath. Go check it out and have fun exploring some really neat blogs & websites. You may get lucky like I did & have a wonderful new product to try and enjoy.

Last day for giveaway!

This has been amazing! I have been having such a blast meeting so many wonderful people and fantastic artists/creators. The sheer amount of talent that is involved in this event is HUGE. While I really didn't plan on visiting every blogger involved, I DID. I have spent so much time this last week checking out the amazing sites that my hubby started threatening to limit my online time! It's been addictive though. Some of these talented bloggers have so much to share that you just don't want to leave their sites. I have earmarked several (dozen) to go back to when the hubby isn't peering over the shoulder. Especially since I have found several lovely, lovely items that I must purchase for myself and gifts of course..

I've also been thrilled by how many wonderful people have stopped by my little fledgling blog! It has been so nice to see the kind and encouraging comments from some of you amazing peeps. I'm really getting organized now so that I can start blogging on a regular basis, about my farming & herb endeavors. I'm hoping that I will even have photos soon.. The camera seems to be working, but it's iffy. Maybe a great excuse to have to buy another?

Ok, so here's the plan: My drawing will officially close at midnight tonight (Pacific time). Tomorrow I will post the two winners and email them, this won't occur early as I have to work :( but I will have the names up by 5pm. The winners will then have 48 hours to contact me with their mailing info. I will package up their goodies and send them winging away to their new homes. Hopefully all will be happy and I will have kicked my blogging career off in a great, big way! (I'm also hoping people will come back to see me!)

Ciao for now! Until tomorrow at least.
